2008 Green Bay Men's Soccer Spring Schedule

GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay men's soccer team announced its 2008 spring schedule this week, unveiling five competition dates throughout the spring semester.

The Phoenix starts Saturday, March 8 when it takes part in the four-team Wisconsin Indoor Event, hosted by the University of Wisconsin. Green Bay will face the Minnesota Thunder, Milwaukee and Wisconsin.

Green Bay looks to get outdoors March 29 at Northern Illinois, as the Phoenix will take on both Northern Illinois and Bradley.

The team will return to the state of Illinois April 5 for games against Northwestern and Lewis in Evanston, Ill.

The most anticipated date on the schedule is April 27, when Green Bay and the other three Division I programs of the state will take part in the Wisconsin DI State Cup at Marquette's Valley Fields. Green Bay will challenge Wisconsin in the opening round and will take on either Marquette or Milwaukee depending on its result in game one.

The Phoenix wraps up the spring season May 3 with two games at UW-Oshkosh. Green Bay will face Milwaukee at 1 p.m. and follow with a match against the host Titans at 2:30 p.m.
