Men's Golf Finishes Fifth Following Final Round at Caputo Invite

MUNDELEIN, Ill. - The Green Bay men's golf team handled tough playing conditions better than most teams in the final round of the eight-team Caputo Invitational Tuesday, hosted by Loyola University Chicago at Pine Meadow Golf Course.

Green Bay's team total of 311 in the final round was the second-best score during Tuesday's cold and windy conditions. Despite tough weather, Garrett Gosh posted his best round of the tournament with a two-over 74 to finish tied for fourth overall with a 10-over 226.

Travis Meyer tied for 10th overall with his 79 on Tuesday to give him a 234 through three rounds. Brady Mork notched a five-over 77 on Tuesday to move into a four-way tie for 16th, tying him with teammate Adam Austreng. Aaron Pearson rounded out Green Bay's golfers with a 38th place finish.

Host Loyola held onto its first-place spot with a 308 team score in the final round to finish 13 strokes ahead of second-place IPFW. Loyola's Armando Favela took medalist honors with a four-over 220.

Green Bay returns to action April 18 for its final regular season tournament at the University of Detroit Mercy.
