BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Green Bay men's and women's cross country seasons came to an end Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional held at the IU Cross Country Championship Course in Bloomington, Ind. The Phoenix women placed 29th at the event, while the men finished 30th.

On the women's side, Michigan State won with a team total of 60 points. Wisconsin and Michigan shared the men's title with 68 points. Green Bay's women totaled 897 points, while the men had 875.

Jolene Sell (Menasha, Wis.) led the women's efforts with a time of 23:44.97 in the 6K race. She placed 134th out of the 215 runners. Sell completed her sophomore campaign by being the team's top finisher in each of the season's seven events.

Callie Bartel (Odgensburg, Wis.) and Kendelle Krause (Berlin, Wis.) also placed among the top 200. Bartel (189th) ran a 25:06.40, while Krause (193rd) finished the course in 25:16.22.

Green Bay's other competitors included Emily Farrell (Gillett, Wis.), Whitney Mack (Lakeville, Minn.), Danielle Pozolinksi (Appleton, Wis.) and Hillary Hamer (Markeson, Wis.). Farrell broke the 26-minute mark, while the other three runners finished under 27:00.

For the men, Ryan Miller (Mequon, Wis.) capped his collegiate career with a 145th place finish. The senior posted a clocking of 34:26.99 in the 10K event. He was the top finisher for Green Bay in every meet this year.

Abe Clark (Gillett, Wis.) and Luke Karban (Marinette, Wis.) finished within 12 seconds of each other. Clark placed 176th in 35:23.57, while Karban's time of 35:35.70 was good for 179th.

Green Bay's other participants included Ryan Hartwig (Peshtigo, Wis.), Troy Carmody (Green Bay, Wis.) and Chase Rost (Oconto Falls, Wis.). Hartwig placed 186th in 35:57.28, Carmody was 194th in 36:36.30 and Rost landed in 198th place (37:09.02).
